Who we are
Hail Claim publishes educational guides and playbooks at roofclaimplaybook.com to help U.S. homeowners document hail damage, dispute denials, and work toward a fair settlement. We are an independent publisher, not an insurer, adjuster, attorney, or contractor.
Information we collect
We collect information in two ways: (1) what you choose to send us through the contact form, and (2) basic technical data your browser sends when you load a page.
Contact form submissions
When you fill out the "Get Help", "How to Claim", "Find My Next Step", or "Contact Us" form, we collect the name, email, phone number, state, topic, and message you provide. We use this information to reply to you and to improve the guides. The form is delivered to our inbox via Resend, a third-party email-delivery service. We do not store form submissions in our own database.
Server and browser logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, referring page, timestamps) to secure the site and detect abuse. We do not run third-party advertising cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page before enabling it.
How we use your information
- Reply to questions you send through the contact form.
- Follow up with guide recommendations relevant to your situation.
- Maintain the security and availability of the website.
- Meet legal obligations if we are required to disclose information by law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with insurers, adjusters, roofers, or marketers.
Outbound links
Our guides link to government resources (NOAA, state insurance departments), community discussions (Reddit), and industry references. When you follow those links, you leave Hail Claim. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we have no control over them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing nocodetalks@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you live in California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, those rights still apply.
Children
Hail Claim is intended for adults making decisions about a home insurance claim. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves or as laws change. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be called out on the home page.
